Macau Casinos Record US$686 Million GGR in First Five Days of October
Macau’s casino industry continues its strong momentum, generating US$686 million in gross gaming revenue (GGR) in just the first five days of October.
According to data from industry analysts, the figure reflects one of the best starts to a month in 2025 and signals a solid recovery across the mass market segment. The strong performance coincided with China’s Golden Week holiday, which boosted tourism and casino traffic.
Analysts noted that mass-market players remain the key driver of growth, while VIP gaming still trails its pre-pandemic levels. Even so, Macau’s overall revenue trend remains positive, supported by steady visitor inflows and improved consumer confidence.
If the pace continues, October’s total GGR could surpass US$2.5 billion — putting it among the highest monthly performances of the year. Operators are focusing on maintaining momentum through promotions, hospitality upgrades and cross-border travel facilitation.
