Macau casino gross gaming revenue increased by 400% in October 2023
In October 2023, Macau casinos had gross gaming revenue (GGR) of MOP 19.501 billion (USD 2.42 billion). This was revealed in a report released on November 1 by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) of the Special Administrative Region of China.
According to the contents of the document, Macau casino revenues increased by 400.2% compared to the same period last year, when they reached MOP 3.899 billion.
Macau casino revenues for the ten months of 2023 amounted to 148.449 billion patacas, which is 315.6% more than a year earlier.
Let us recall that in the third quarter of 2023, 30 casinos, including satellite casinos, operated in the special administrative region of China.
13 gambling establishments operated under a license and sublicense from the operator SJM Holdings, 5 belonged to Venetian Casino, 4 each to Galaxy Casino and Melco Resorts, 2 each to Wynn Resorts and MGM. A total of 12,000 slot machines and 6,000 gaming tables were installed in Macau casinos.
