Macau casino revenue exceeds MOP 16.6 billion in July 2023
In July 2023, the gross gaming revenue (GGR) of Macau casinos was MOP 16.662 billion (USD 2.06 billion). This was reported in a report released on August 1 by the Bureau of Gambling Inspection and Coordination (DICJ) of China's Special Administrative Region.
According to the content of the document, Macau casino revenues increased by 4082.9% compared to the same period in 2022, when they amounted to MOP 398 million.
Macau casino revenue for the seven months of 2023 amounted to 96.79 billion MOP, which is 263.0% more than a year earlier.
Recall that in the second quarter of 2023, 30 casinos, including satellite casinos, operated in the territory of the Special Administrative Region of China.
13 gambling establishments operated under the license and sub-license of the operator SJM Holdings, 5 belonged to Venetian Casino, 4 each to Galaxy Casino and Melco Resorts, 2 each to Wynn Resorts and MGM. A total of 12,000 slot machines and 6,000 gaming tables have been installed in the Macau Casino.
