Loterie Nationale du Bénin set to become first lottery company listed on BRVM
The Loterie Nationale du Bénin S.A (LNB S.A) is preparing to become the first lottery company to be listed on the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), as reported by SikaFinance.
This move is expected to create new opportunities not only for LNB but also for the broader gaming sector across Africa.
Currently, the admission process is progressing, pending approval from the AMF-UEMOA, the regulatory body overseeing the regional financial market.
To facilitate this transition, LNB S.A has partnered with EDC Investment Corporation, a brokerage firm associated with the Ecobank group. If approved, LNB S.A will join Bank Of Africa Bénin as the second Beninese company on the BRVM, increasing the total number of listed companies to 47.
Founded in 1967, LNB S.A has played a vital role in Benin's economic landscape, successfully adapting to digital advancements in the gaming industry.
In recent years, the company has reported financial growth, with net sales reaching nearly 94 billion FCFA by the end of 2023. LNB S.A is committed to social responsibility, allocating a portion of its annual profits to community projects, including a significant contribution to the rehabilitation of a local hospital.
