LONAGUI scholarship expands in 2024 to empower Guinea's youth

The National Lottery of Guinea (LONAGUI) continues its commitment to supporting young talent with the launch of the second edition of its annual scholarship program. Originally introduced in 2023 as a key part of LONAGUI's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, the scholarship aims to empower Guinean youth by fully funding Master’s degree tuition for 15 selected students and providing financial support throughout their studies.

This year, the scholarship will cover tuition fees and provide each recipient with a monthly stipend of 500,000 Guinean francs, paid over ten months per year for two years. The distribution of scholarships is designed to foster inclusivity and equal opportunity, with ten recipients selected through a general lottery, three scholarships specifically for women, one special award for the most promising professional project, and one social scholarship reserved for candidates facing disabilities or substantial social challenges.

Eligible applicants must be Guinean nationals under the age of 35, hold a Bachelor's degree with honors, reside in Guinea, and submit a well-outlined professional project. The selection process involves an initial application review, interviews with a jury, and a final lottery to determine the scholarship recipients.

The LONAGUI Scholarship aims to expand access to higher education and career development opportunities, creating a pathway for young Guineans to achieve their academic and professional goals while contributing to the country’s growth. This initiative serves as a stepping stone towards financial stability and professional integration, embodying LONAGUI’s dedication to social progress and the empowerment of Guinea’s youth.
