LONAGUI and Guinean Football League launch 2024 Coupe de la Ligue

The Coupe de la Ligue LONAGUI 2024 has officially begun, showcasing a commitment to developing football in Guinea. Organized by the Ligue Guinéenne de Football Professionnel in partnership with the Loterie Nationale de Guinée (LONAGUI), the tournament aims to promote local talent and foster community engagement through sports.

The competition kicked off on September 28, 2024, and is set to run until late November. A draw for the match fixtures took place on June 26, 2024, attended by key figures in Guinean football, including the President of the Guinean Football Federation, Aboubacar Dina Sampil. During the ceremony, representatives emphasized the importance of this tournament as a platform for young athletes to develop their competitive spirit. Marie Jacqueline Coker, an advisor at LONAGUI, reiterated the organization's commitment to supporting Guinean football through corporate social responsibility initiatives, stating, "We believe that sport, particularly football, has the unique power to unite, inspire, and transform lives."

The Loterie Nationale de Guinée (LONAGUI) was established in 2010 to oversee lottery operations and promote responsible gambling in Guinea, playing a crucial role in regulating gambling activities within the country. The organization is responsible for ensuring fair play in lottery games, overseeing the legal framework surrounding gambling, and engaging in social responsibility initiatives aimed at fostering community development.

While most forms of online gambling remain unregulated in Guinea, LONAGUI is authorized to manage online betting and lottery services, making this regulatory oversight vital for protecting consumers and ensuring compliance with national laws.
