LONACI Foundation launches 7th Edition of Social Challenge in Ivory Coast

The 2024 edition of the LONACI Foundation Social Challenge has officially launched, marking its seventh year of celebrating excellence and solidarity in journalism.

The event was inaugurated on Monday, August 19, 2024, at the Azalai Hotel in Marcory by Mr. Dramane Coulibaly, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the LONACI Foundation, who is also the Director General of LONACI and President of the Association of Lotteries of Africa.

The ceremony drew notable attendees, including Mr. Abdoulkarim Ouattara, Deputy Director General of LONACI, Miss Côte d'Ivoire 2024, Diamala Marie Emanuelle, and various esteemed guests and members of the management committee.

This competition invites professional journalists from recognized editorial offices to submit their articles, with submissions open from August 19 to November 24, 2024.

Winners will be awarded significant prizes, with the first place receiving 1.5 million FCFA and a trophy, while second and third places will take home 500,000 FCFA and 250,000 FCFA, respectively, along with trophies.

In the previous edition, held on December 20, 2023, the awards recognized the outstanding work of journalists Traoré Tié Médandjé from Nouvelle chaine ivoirienne (NCI), Fatou Sylla from Fraternité Matin, and Coulibaly Maryam from the Ivorian Press Agency (AIP).
