The partnership was announced on 1 October 2025 via multiple media outlets. Under the deal, Linebet will assume the role of betting partner, leveraging its presence in African markets to promote Athletic Bilbao’s brand, engage regional fans, and roll out promotional activities tied to the club.

Athletic Bilbao confirmed the arrangement on social media, referring to Linebet as its Official Regional Betting Partner in Africa and noting a “dynamic new regional partnership.”

Through the agreement, Linebet plans to offer special promotions, fan engagement opportunities, and exclusive content for African supporters of Bilbao, enabling them to connect more closely with their favorite club.

This deal follows Linebet’s pattern of football partnerships in Africa — the operator has previously sponsored clubs and expanded in regional markets.
