The National Lottery Authority (NLA) is making significant strides in its charitable efforts as part of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations in Liberia. This year, approximately 97 charitable organizations in Montserrado County will receive essential food and non-food items through the NLA's "Helping Hand" initiative.

As the distribution in Montserrado wraps up on Saturday, July 20, 2024, the NLA will extend its support to seven additional counties: Grand Cape Mount, Bomi, Gbarpolu, Margibi, Grand Bassa, Bong, and Nimba. More than 50 disabled and charitable institutions are set to benefit from this initiative.

Hon. Reginald Kpan Nagbe, the Director General of the NLA, alongside his deputies are dedicated to uplifting the needy in Liberia. The distribution of the Independence Day rations, which includes rice, Vita Cube, vegetable oil, children's used clothing, and other essential items, is progressing smoothly.

The NLA's efforts align with the Government of Liberia, aiming to improve the lives of those in vulnerable situations. The charitable distribution began in Monrovia on July 15, 2024, and will continue until the eve of the Independence Day celebration on July 26, 2024.
