Leading iGaming Aggregator Alea partners with KPMG for High-Profile API Security Webinar
Alea, the award-winning casino game aggregator, today announced it will participate in a webinar hosted by global consulting giant KPMG focusing on API governance in the iGaming industry. The event, titled "The API Governance Playbook: Rogue APIs & Silent Losses," will take place on October 1st at 4:00 PM (CEST).
The 40-minute session brings together senior executives from leading iGaming companies to address one of the industry's most pressing challenges: how to secure API infrastructure without compromising operational speed or innovation capacity.
"APIs have become the backbone of modern iGaming operations, but they're also creating vulnerabilities that many operators don't fully understand," said Alexandre Tomic, co-founder of Alea. "This webinar brings together the people who've actually solved these problems at scale to share practical advice that works in the real world."
The panel features executives from organizations that collectively process millions of transactions daily and serve operators across global markets. Confirmed speakers include:
- Curt Gauci, Partner at KPMG in Malta
- Alex Tomic, Founder at Alea
- Justin Cosnett, CPO at Continent 8
- Ashley Lang, CEO of Pragmatic Solutions
- Eyal Roz, CPO at RubyPlay
- Fellipe Fraga, CBO at EstrelaBet
"The regulatory landscape is evolving rapidly, and operators need governance frameworks they can actually implement," said Curt Gauci, Partner at KPMG in Malta. "This collaboration brings together regulatory expertise with operational experience to provide actionable guidance for the industry."
The session will examine real-world API vulnerabilities, compliance requirements, and practical strategies for balancing security with business agility. Topics include case studies of API failures, regulatory compliance frameworks, and cross-industry best practices for API governance.
The webinar comes as iGaming operators face increasing pressure to strengthen cybersecurity measures while maintaining competitive speed-to-market advantages. Recent industry reports have highlighted API-related vulnerabilities as a growing concern for operators expanding into new markets, with hacking on the rise.
"We're seeing operators struggle with the same fundamental challenge: how do you move fast enough to compete while staying secure enough to survive regulatory and outside scrutiny," Alex Tomic, co-founder at Alea added. "The speakers we've assembled have all navigated this challenge successfully at scale."
