Kenya Arbitrage Betting Weekly Report: August 31 September 6, 2026
Kenya Arbitrage Betting Weekly Report (August 31–September 6, 2026)
The Kenya-focused arbitrage betting market continued to expand during August 31–September 6, 2026. WorkBet recorded 88,023 qualifying arbitrage opportunities, up from 83,999 in the previous reporting period. The increase was accompanied by a slight improvement in average profit, although activity became much more concentrated around football again.
Football generated 77,254 opportunities and accounted for 87.8% of the weekly total. This was a sharp rebound from 79.2% one week earlier. Tennis fell to 4.8% with 4,192 opportunities, while basketball declined to 3.2% with 2,857. Hockey contributed 2.5% and esports 0.6%, showing that the sports mix became considerably less diversified after the broader distribution seen in the previous week.
The profitability profile remained dominated by lower-margin opportunities. Surebets below 1% profit represented 46.59% of the total, while another 43.84% fell into the 1–5% range. Combined, 90.43% of all opportunities offered less than 5% profit. The 10–20% segment accounted for 1.99%, while only 0.73% exceeded 20% profit.
Opportunity lifespan remained relatively favorable. The largest category was 3–10 minutes at 47.88%, followed by opportunities lasting more than 31 minutes at 24.81%. The 10–20 minute segment increased to 16.81%, while only 3.27% of surebets disappeared within three minutes. Compared with the previous week, the market shifted slightly away from the 3–10 minute window toward longer 10–20 minute opportunities.
Across the overall WorkBet dataset, BetCity strengthened its lead with 39,031 opportunities and a 22.2% share. 1xBet ranked second with 24,875, followed by Olimpbet with 23,201, Marathonbet with 19,130, and Fonbet with 15,861.
Within the Kenya-focused segment, 1xBet remained the leading bookmaker with 24,875 opportunities, followed by Odibets with 7,242, SportPesa with 5,460, MozzartBet with 864, and Betika with 461. Unlike the wider market, all five Kenya-focused bookmakers recorded lower activity than in the previous week. 1xBet declined by about 6.5%, Odibets by 20.0%, and SportPesa by 9.6%, showing a clear divergence between rising overall market volume and weaker Kenya-linked bookmaker activity.
In the filtered segment — surebets with at least 3% profit and a minimum lifetime of three minutes — 1xBet–BetCity remained the leading pair with 1,428 qualifying opportunities and an average profit of 5.96%. BetCity–Olimpbet followed with 1,353 opportunities at 6.32%. Bovada–Olimpbet moved into third place with 1,117 surebets and an average profit of 11.31%, while BetCity–Bovada generated 1,025 at 9.52%.
The weekly average profit increased slightly from 2.21% to 2.23%. The longest-lived surebet remained available for 167 hours and 47 minutes, and the WorkBet benchmark based on $200 turnover over eight hours produced an estimated earning potential of $3,504.
Overall, the latest WorkBet statistics show a larger but more football-concentrated arbitrage market. Total opportunity volume increased by about 4.8%, yet Kenya-focused bookmaker activity declined across all five tracked operators. The week therefore combined stronger overall market activity with a more selective regional environment for Kenyan bettors.
