Kenya Arbitrage Betting Weekly Report: August 17 23, 2026
Kenya Arbitrage Betting Weekly Report (August 17–23, 2026)
The Kenya-focused arbitrage market remained active during August 17–23, 2026, although overall volume moved lower. WorkBet recorded 65,726 qualifying arbitrage opportunities, compared with 74,412 in the previous reporting period. 1xBet continued to lead Kenya-focused activity, ahead of Odibets and SportPesa.
Football became even more dominant during the week. It generated 58,703 opportunities, representing 89.3% of all surebets. Basketball moved into second place with 2,350 opportunities (3.6%), while tennis slipped to third with 1,989 (3.0%). Football's share increased from 87.9% a week earlier, further concentrating arbitrage activity around a single sport.
Profit distribution changed very little. Opportunities below 1% profit accounted for 47.93% of the total, and another 43.38% were concentrated in the 1–5% range. Combined, more than 91% of all surebets therefore offered margins below 5%. At the opposite end of the market, only 0.54% exceeded 20% profit, emphasizing the importance of execution speed and consistent opportunity volume rather than rare high-margin cases.
The lifespan data showed a similarly stable structure. 48.13% of opportunities remained available for 3–10 minutes, 15.47% lasted for 10–20 minutes, and 23.46% stayed active for more than 31 minutes. This left a meaningful share of the market with practical execution windows.
The overall WorkBet dataset was led by BetCity with 26,670 opportunities. 1xBet followed with 19,517, narrowly ahead of Olimpbet at 19,370. The picture was different within the Kenya-focused segment, where 1xBet held first place with 19,517 opportunities, followed by Odibets with 6,463 and SportPesa with 4,495.
However, each of these three Kenya-focused bookmakers recorded less activity than a week earlier. 1xBet moved from 20,988 to 19,517 opportunities, Odibets declined from 7,169 to 6,463, and SportPesa fell from 5,586 to 4,495, reflecting the wider contraction in weekly surebet volume.
The filtered segment — surebets with at least 3% profit and a minimum lifetime of three minutes — produced a new leader. 1xBet–BetCity generated 1,245 qualifying opportunities with an average profit of 12.91%. Kenya-linked combinations remained relevant as well. BetCity–Odibets produced 398 opportunities at 7.54% average profit, while Marathonbet–Odibets recorded 237 at 9.66%. Their average lifespans were particularly notable at 132.9 and 146.6 minutes, respectively.
For the week as a whole, average profit held steady at 2.11%. The longest individual surebet remained active for 138 hours and 27 minutes, while the WorkBet benchmark based on $200 turnover over eight hours produced an estimated earning potential of $3,328.
The latest data therefore points to a smaller but even more football-heavy arbitrage market. 1xBet remains the leader in Kenya-focused activity, while Odibets continues to stand out as a regional bookmaker appearing in several profitable combinations with relatively long execution windows.
