Kenya Arbitrage Betting Weekly Report: August 10 16, 2026
Kenya Arbitrage Betting Weekly Report (August 10–16, 2026)
WorkBet statistics for August 10–16, 2026 recorded 74,412 qualifying arbitrage opportunities, up from 69,023 in the previous reporting period. The week combined higher overall activity with a noticeable decline in average profitability, while 1xBet, Odibets, and SportPesa remained the most active bookmakers in the Kenya-focused segment. Football accounted for 65,434 opportunities, or 87.9% of the weekly total. Although its share declined slightly from 89.3% one week earlier, the absolute number of football surebets continued to grow. Tennis strengthened its position with 3,381 opportunities (4.5%), followed by basketball with 2,341 (3.1%), hockey with 1,493 (2.0%), and esports with 1,316 (1.8%). The profitability profile changed more significantly. 47.94% of surebets delivered returns below 1%, while another 43.43% fell into the 1–5% range. Together, these categories represented 91.37% of all opportunities, compared with 89.03% in the previous week. At the same time, the share of opportunities above 20% profit fell from 1.32% to 0.60%, showing that the latest increase in volume was driven mainly by lower-margin surebets.
Opportunity lifespan remained relatively stable. 50.8% of all surebets stayed available for 3–10 minutes, up from 48.85% one week earlier, while 24.63% lasted longer than 31 minutes. The share of very short opportunities lasting less than three minutes fell from 7.03% to 5.02%, slightly improving execution conditions despite the lower average profit. Across the overall WorkBet dataset, BetCity remained the most active bookmaker with 29,608 opportunities, followed by Olimpbet (22,337) and 1xBet (20,988). Marathonbet and Fonbet completed the overall top five. Within the Kenya-focused segment, 1xBet strengthened its lead with 20,988 opportunities, ahead of Odibets (7,169), SportPesa (5,586), MozzartBet (933), and Betika (492).
The latest data therefore confirms that 1xBet's return in the previous reporting period was not temporary. Its Kenya-focused volume increased from 17,048 to 20,988 opportunities, while Odibets rose from 6,167 to 7,169 and SportPesa from 4,799 to 5,586. Regional bookmaker activity remained strong even as the broader market shifted toward lower average margins.
Among filtered opportunities (minimum 3% profit and at least three minutes of lifetime), BetCity–Olimpbet returned to first place with 1,172 qualifying surebets and an average profit of 7.94%. 1xBet–BetCity followed closely with 1,153 opportunities at 6.14%, while the Kenya-linked 1xBet–Odibets pair generated 860 opportunities with an average profit of 8.10%. Marathonbet–Odibets also stood out with an average profit of 9.54% and an average lifespan of 74.7 minutes.
The weekly average profit fell to 2.11%, compared with 2.48% in the previous reporting period, even as total opportunity volume increased by approximately 7.8%. The longest-lived surebet remained available for 167 hours and 39 minutes, while the WorkBet benchmark based on $200 turnover over eight hours produced an estimated result of $3,328, down from $3,984 one week earlier.
Overall, the latest WorkBet statistics show a larger but more low-margin arbitrage market. 1xBet strengthened its position as the leading Kenya-focused bookmaker, while Odibets and SportPesa also increased their activity. However, the decline in average profit and the growing concentration of opportunities below 5% made execution efficiency increasingly important during the week.
