K9 Esports Triumphs in BGMS Season 4 as India’s Esports Viewership Hits New Highs

The BGMI Masters Series Season 4 concluded in New Delhi with K9 Esports crowned champions, while the tournament set new benchmarks for mobile esports in India with record viewership and expanded digital reach.

The BGMS Season 4, organized by NODWIN Gaming, ran from August 18 to September 14, 2025, and reaffirmed Battlegrounds Mobile India as the country’s leading esports title. K9 Esports dominated the Grand Finals, securing three Winner Winner Chicken Dinners and becoming the only team to surpass 100 points, earning the top prize of ₹6 million from a total pool of ₹14.32 million.

The tournament broke audience records, reaching a peak of nearly 327,000 concurrent viewers and averaging more than 110,000 across platforms. In total, broadcasts in Hindi, English and Gujarati attracted over 10 million views. The number of streaming channels carrying the event rose to 84, compared with just 10 in previous seasons, underscoring the competition’s growing influence.

Season 4 also introduced innovations aimed at enhancing the spectator experience. New mechanics such as Powerplay, Impact Player and the Bounty System added strategic depth, while a multi-camera setup offered fans a more immersive view of the action. The integration of the BGMI Challenger Series opened the door for emerging teams to compete against established organizations, further strengthening the competitive ecosystem.

Despite challenges such as the illness that forced 8Bit Esports out of the finals, the event demonstrated the resilience of the Indian esports scene and its capacity for rapid growth. With K9 Esports taking the title and BGMS achieving unprecedented reach, the series has set a new standard for mobile esports in India, paving the way for greater investment and expansion ahead of the next season.
