Jelly enters African market through strategic partnership with betPawa
Game developer Jelly has officially entered the African market by signing a new agreement with leading online betting operator betPawa. This milestone deal marks the company’s first foray into the continent and represents a key part of its global growth strategy.
Jelly is known for producing engaging digital content for the gaming and betting industry, with a portfolio of over 25 titles including popular releases such as CleoPatrick, Midas Riches, and Witches Go Wild. Its games are currently available through more than 100 operator brands worldwide.
Through this new partnership, Jelly will provide betPawa with a range of mobile-first content specifically designed for the African market. This includes crash games, instant win titles, and slots optimized for portrait-only display and low-bandwidth environments—ensuring seamless gameplay even in regions with limited internet connectivity.
As part of the collaboration, Jelly and betPawa will also work together to develop localized games tailored to African players’ preferences. The agreement will see Jelly’s content integrated through its Remote Gaming Server (RGS) platform, allowing distribution across all regulated markets where betPawa is active.
betPawa is one of Africa’s most prominent online sports betting operators, with more than 10 million users across 17 countries, including Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Cameroon, and Zambia.
David Newstead, Chief Business Development Officer at Jelly, commented on the partnership:
“Joining forces with betPawa is a significant strategic move for us. betPawa’s presence across Africa will help us reach more players than ever before. It’s a partnership that secures us a stronger foothold in an important territory and aligns perfectly with our expansion goals in emerging regulated markets.”
This collaboration marks the beginning of Jelly’s expansion across Africa, with the company expected to announce additional partnerships with leading operators in the region in the near future.
