Ithuba urges South African lotto players to check tickets for unclaimed R100 million jackpot
Ithuba, the operator of the National Lottery, is urging players to check their tickets as a staggering R100 million ($5.5 million USD) Lotto jackpot remains unclaimed.
This jackpot is the second-largest in LOTTO history, following the R110 million jackpot won by four individuals in January 2018. A significant prize was won in the Lotto draw held on August 3, 2024, but the winner has yet to come forward.
Ithuba encourages anyone who participated in the draw to carefully examine their tickets for the winning numbers. Players can check their tickets through various channels, including the official National Lottery website, mobile app, or at authorized retailers.
As the deadline approaches, Ithuba hopes to hear from the lucky winner soon. winner must claim their prize by August 3, 2025.
If the prize is not claimed by then, the funds will be redirected to the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund to support various good causes and beneficiary organizations.
