ISJ and Primeira Aposta strengthen ties to promote responsible gaming in Angola

On May 30, 2025, the Gaming Supervision Institute (Instituto de Supervisão de Jogos – ISJ) held a working meeting with the gaming operator Primeira Aposta at the Institute's headquarters.

During the session, the management of Primeira Aposta gave a detailed presentation on the company's origins, highlighting its strong international presence and its specialized software development team that manufactures equipment for the gaming industry. The company also outlined its growth strategy in the Angolan market, where it currently operates around 3,414 agents, 31 stores, and 153 express agents, strategically located across Benguela, Lobito, Zaire, Huíla, Cabinda, Malanje, Huambo, Bié, Uíge, and Luanda.

A key highlight of the meeting was Primeira Aposta's expression of interest in collaborating with the ISJ on social development projects and promoting responsible gambling practices.

Representing the ISJ at the meeting were Director-General Dr. Nerethz Tati, Deputy Director-General Dr. Cláudio Paulo, and Head of the Supervision and Inspection Department Dr. João Pedro. Primeira Aposta was represented by its Chairman of the Board, Dr. Hussein Achi, along with members of its administrative team.

The meeting reflects the ISJ's ongoing commitment to strengthening dialogue with gaming operators, enhancing sector management through collaboration, and ensuring transparency in institutional relations.
