Instagram is now open for indexing

On July 10, 2025, Instagram opened for indexing in search engines. This means that all posted posts will no longer be located only inside the application by hashtags or geolocations, now all publications from public business, creator accounts 18+ will be shown in search queries. It is important that only those publications that were posted after January 1, 2020 will be displayed.

Recommendations for using the innovation:

• Write simply and accessibly, since now not only ordinary users of the social network can see it, but also those who are not accustomed to the Instagram format and all they need from you is a readable text that leaves no questions behind
• Add subtitles to videos or duplicate the text from the image in the description of the publication
• Use keys in the first line of the description

But there is also a downside: even if you delete a publication, it can remain in search engines for several days.
