Guinée Millions launches December 20, with lottery and sports betting offerings

Guinée Millions, a new gaming and lottery company in the Republic of Guinea, officially launched its operations on Friday, December 20, 2024. This company is the first fully Guinean-owned lottery and gaming enterprise.

The General Director, Ahmed Balla Condé, announced plans to establish the Guinée Millions Foundation, which will support local communities, sports and cultural associations, and address issues related to health and education.

Guinée Millions offers a variety of products for Guinean bettors, including traditional lotteries played with balls and sports betting. The lottery features two main formats: a 5/90 game, where players select five numbers from a pool of 90 at a minimum ticket price of 2,000 francs. Draws occur nearly every hour, with potential winnings reaching up to 82 million francs. Additionally, there is the Koumi lottery, an 8/24 format where eight numbers are drawn from a set of 24, with tickets priced at 5,000 francs and two draws per week on Mondays and Thursdays.

For sports betting enthusiasts, Guinéens can wager on major international competitions starting at a minimum bet of 2,000 francs. The company has partnered with Skilrock, a global leader in gaming technology, to provide advanced gaming tools.

By the end of the first quarter of 2025, Guinée Millions plans to roll out its first kiosks across Greater Conakry and throughout the country. Bettors can also engage with their offerings through a mobile app.

Winners will receive their payouts via Orange Money and Mobile Money services. For larger amounts, winners will need to visit the Guinée Millions office to collect their checks. The company’s ambassadors include renowned Guinean internationals Aboubacar Titi Camara and Aguibou Camara.
