Ghana's NLA eyes global expansion with potential collaboration with Scientific Games
Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) of Ghana, Sammi Awuku, recently visited Scientific Games in Atlanta, Georgia, to explore partnership opportunities aimed at enhancing Ghana's lottery market.
In a post on X dated August 23, Awuku highlighted the importance of this collaboration, noting that Scientific Games is a leader in instant games and scratch lotteries, producing 25 billion tickets annually and commanding a 70% share of the global market.
Awuku's visit is part of a broader strategy to boost the NLA's global presence and improve its operations. The NLA, established in 2006, plays a crucial role in generating revenue for national development through its legal monopoly on lotteries in Ghana.
Scientific Games, recognized for its innovative lottery solutions, could significantly contribute to the NLA's mission of creating moments of hope and happiness through engaging lottery games.
Awuku's leadership is focused on modernizing the NLA's offerings and ensuring that the authority remains a vital contributor to Ghana's economy.
