Ghana Football Association welcomes betPawa officials for partnership talks

Officials from betPawa visited the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. According to GFA Communications, the meeting included Ntoudi Mouyelo Katoula, Managing Director for Africa and Chief Commercial Officer, and Nii Armah Ashong-Katai, Regional Manager for Southern and Western Africa. They discussed strengthening the partnership between betPawa and the GFA.

This meeting follows a series of online discussions aimed at finalizing partnership arrangements for the 2024-25 season. Key initiatives include the Locker Room Bonus for players in the Ghana Premier League and an extension of this initiative to the Women’s FA Cup starting from the Round of 16. The partnership also plans to enhance the betPawa pitch at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence by constructing a stand for spectators and dressing rooms.

President Simeon-Okraku praised betPawa for its commitment and financial support to clubs and Ghanaian football in general. The discussions focused on fostering positive collaboration between the GFA and betPawa, exploring further ways to strengthen their relationship.

betPawa was launched in Ghana in 2018, following its initial establishment in Uganda in 2014. The company currently operates in 15 countries across Africa, including Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Malawi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Cameroon, Benin, Gabon, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Mozambique.
