Gamzix’s Gary the Goose: Showcasing the underrated impact of Mascots in B2B Marketing

Gary the Goose, Gamzix's mascot, has stepped off the LinkedIn banners and come to life. This once fictional, quirky character transformed into a real-life company mascot at SiGMA Europe in Malta. While mascots are typically associated with B2C communication, Gamzix chose a brave approach in the B2B sector. The result is Gary the Goose, an unforgettable character with an interesting story, who has captured everyone's hearts.

Why a Mascot? The Strategic Role of Gary the Goose in Gamzix’s Brand Identity

In a competitive market, mascots are essential for creating a memorable and relatable brand identity. As a leading full-cycle slot provider, Gamzix understands the power of this connection. Gary embodies Gamzix’s values of charm, creativity, and approachability, adding warmth to the otherwise professional B2B environment. His playful nature is a dynamic representation of the brand, strengthening connections with casino partners and leaving a lasting impact in the iGaming industry.

Gary’s creation stemmed from a thoughtful process to reflect our core principles. After exploring various ideas, we chose the image of a quirky, imperfect goose wearing pixelated black sunglasses – symbolizing his forward-thinking vision and determination for a lucky future.

Gary was already a beloved member of the Gamzix team. He appeared regularly in our LinkedIn posts and was featured on merchandise at other conferences. Despite this, people kept asking, “Where is Gary? We want to meet him!” We couldn’t ignore these requests and decided to exclusively introduce Gary to our partners at SiGMA Europe in Malta.

Gary the Goose Debuts at SiGMA Europe

At SiGMA Europe in Malta, Gary the Goose made his offline debut as the central figure at the Gamzix booth. He interacted with visitors, distributed Gamzix’s branded Nike sneakers, took pictures with visitors and showcased Gamzix’s commitment to creating memorable, engaging experiences.

Gary’s energy and charm attracted crowds, encouraging social media interactions and amplifying the brand’s visibility. His presence also created new business opportunities and advanced negotiations with existing and potential partners.

The Power of Mascots in Digital Marketing and Social Media

Mascots are powerful tools in digital marketing, bringing a brand’s personality to life. Gary’s image has been used in our publications, game announcements, and social media campaigns. He’s appeared in themed costumes, wearing a festival tailcoat with a glass of sparkling wine for good luck. Gary allows Gamzix to engage with its audience in an approachable, fun way, humanizing interactions and enhancing social media reach. His imperfect nature (just look at his potbelly!) makes him more relatable, like any human being.

A Long-Term Commitment to Brand Recognition and Loyalty

Mascots enhance brand recognition online and offline. Gamzix will use Gary the Goose to strengthen its identity and build lasting partnerships. His playful yet professional persona embodies Gamzix, fostering trust and loyalty through events and digital campaigns.

As Olga Ashykhmina, Gamzix’s Digital Marketing Lead, explains, “Research shows that mascots can increase brand recognition by up to 30%. With Gary, we’re redefining B2B branding, proving that creativity and a personal touch can make professional partnerships both impactful and enjoyable.”

Gary the Goose is more than a mascot; he’s a symbol of recognition and trust. His playful yet impressive presence has made him a recognizable figure, so much so that everyone wants a piece of him. Gary’s engaging personality and innovative charm epitomize our commitment to making memorable connections, blending professionalism with creativity and warmth.
