Gambling revenue in New Jersey increased by 14% in June 2023
The Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) of casinos, racetracks, and online operators in the American state of New Jersey reached $457.2 million in June 2023. This information is reported in the monthly report of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), published recently.
According to the document, compared to June 2022, the revenue increased by 13.9%.
In June 2023, Atlantic City's land-based casinos generated revenue of $241.6 million, which is 5.4% higher than the previous year. Revenue from slot machines reached $183.0 million, and from gaming tables - $58.6 million.
Online gambling revenue amounted to $149.3 million, which exceeded June 2022 figures by 12.1%.
Revenue from sports betting increased by 69.1%, reaching $66.3 million.
Among the gambling establishments in Atlantic City, the casino Borgata earned the highest revenue with $60.5 million. The top three leaders also included Hard Rock ($43.3 million) and Ocean Casino Resort ($34.9 million).
It's worth noting that Atlantic City is home to nine casinos: Bally's, Borgata, Caesars, Golden Nugget, Hard Rock, Harrah's, Ocean Casino Resort, Resorts, and Tropicana.
