G2 Eliminated Early From ESL Pro League Season 24 After PARIVISION Defeat

G2 Esports have suffered an early exit from ESL Pro League Season 24 in Katowice, losing 1-2 to PARIVISION and finishing the Swiss group stage with just one victory from four series.

G2 Esports have been eliminated from ESL Pro League Season 24 after PARIVISION defeated the international roster 2-1 in their elimination match on October 6.

PARIVISION opened the series with a 13-7 victory on Ancient before G2 responded 13-9 on Anubis. The deciding Inferno remained close, but Dzhami “Jame” Ali and his teammates secured the final rounds to win 13-11 and end G2’s tournament.

The defeat left G2 with a disappointing 1-3 record in the Swiss stage. They began the event with a 0-2 loss to NAVI and then fell 1-2 to 1win. Their only victory came against ShindeN, who they beat 2-0, before the loss to PARIVISION confirmed their elimination.

New signing Artem “r1nkle” Moroz also endured a difficult debut tournament with the team, finishing ESL Pro League as G2’s lowest-rated player with a 0.91 rating, according to HLTV.

For PARIVISION, the victory became the start of a much more successful finish to the group stage. One day later, they defeated Natus Vincere 2-1 to secure a place in the playoffs at the Spodek Arena.

The eight-team playoff field is now complete, featuring Vitality, MOUZ, Aurora, 1win, Falcons, FURIA, PARIVISION and Spirit. The quarter-finals begin on October 9, with Vitality facing PARIVISION and Falcons meeting Spirit among the headline matchups.

For G2, the early elimination is a significant setback at one of the season’s major CS2 events. With the team still integrating r1nkle into its system, attention will now turn to whether the roster can correct its inconsistency before its next major international tournaments.
