The Gaming Commission of Ghana and the National Lottery Authority (NLA) have partnered with Syndicated Entertainment Solutions to launch the inaugural Ghana Gaming and Lottery Awards.

The event aims to promote responsible gaming practices, foster innovation, and recognize outstanding contributions in the industry. It will also encourage stakeholders to prioritize national development and responsible participation in the gaming and lottery space.

Scheduled for September 2024, the awards event will honor various players in the industry.

Manuella Frempomaa Ansong, the Director of Syndicated Entertainment Solutions, emphasized that recognizing excellence in the gaming and lottery sector is crucial for promoting responsible practices and acknowledging significant contributions.

The awards will feature a seven-member evaluation committee comprising representatives from the NLA and the Gaming Commission, two experts in the gaming and lottery sector, a recognized auditor, a lawyer, and an external member from the European Lotteries.

At the launch event in Accra, Mr. Samuel Awuku, Director General of the NLA, expressed gratitude to Syndicated Entertainment Solutions for introducing this initiative. He highlighted the importance of recognizing operators who support their communities, stating that such recognition encourages others to follow suit.

Peter Mireku, Commissioner for the Gaming Commission, also stressed the importance of encouraging operators to prioritize community development and responsible gaming practices. He noted that it is time to acknowledge the great work operators have been doing in their communities.
