FAIR Platform debuts in Brazil to strengthen sports betting governance
SIGA LATIN AMERICA has officially launched the FAIR Platform—short for Fórum de Apostas, Integridade e Regulação (Sports Betting, Integrity and Regulation Forum).
According to the organization, the inaugural meeting of the platform brought together representatives from all member sports betting operators of SIGA LATIN AMERICA, as well as key government figures. Among those present were Giovanni Rocco Neto, National Secretary of Sports Betting and Economic Development of Sport at the Ministry of Sport, and Regis Dudena, Secretary of Prizes and Betting at the Ministry of Finance.
The FAIR Platform aims to foster collaboration and transparency among operators, regulators, and other stakeholders. It will serve as a structured forum for discussing shared challenges, exchanging regulatory best practices, and advancing a unified approach to integrity within Brazil's sports betting ecosystem.
The core objectives of the FAIR Platform include:
-
Establishing ongoing dialogue and cooperation between SIGA LATIN AMERICA and its members on key betting sector issues.
-
Promoting the exchange of knowledge, data, and best practices related to sports betting regulation and integrity safeguards.
-
Facilitating consensus-building on major challenges while aligning operations with current laws and SIGA’s Universal Standards on Sports Integrity.
-
Identifying threats and vulnerabilities in the market and proposing effective, coordinated reforms.
-
Supporting SIGA LATIN AMERICA’s mission to enhance trust and integrity across both the sports and betting industries in Brazil.
The launch of the FAIR Platform marks a foundational step in Brazil’s efforts to build a safer, more transparent, and accountable sports betting market as the country continues to regulate and expand the industry.
