Doxxbet Liberia expands football sponsorship to support seven local clubs

Doxxbet Liberia has announced sponsorship deals with seven local clubs across different divisions. The betting company finalized the short-term agreements on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, covering clubs from the First Division, Second Division, and Women’s Division.

Speaking at the signing event, Doxxbet Liberia CEO Michal Gabor emphasized that the company is working closely with the Liberia Football Association (LFA) to alleviate financial challenges faced by struggling clubs.

With this latest initiative, Doxxbet now sponsors a total of eight teams, including Shaita FC, which had an existing agreement with the company. The new sponsorships will run until the end of the season, with an option for extension.

Under the sponsorship deal, each First Division club will receive USD 1,200, while the Second Division and Women’s Division clubs will receive USD 800 each. The seven newly sponsored clubs include:

• Invincible Eleven

• Global Pharma

• Freeport FC

• Cece United

• PAGs FC

• Bushrod Queen FC

Following the announcement, CEO Michal Gabor addressed speculation regarding LFA President Mustapha Raji’s involvement in the selection process. Gabor clarified that Doxxbet independently selected the beneficiary clubs from a pool of financially struggling teams that had submitted sponsorship proposals.

Gabor explained that the LFA had only identified clubs in need of assistance, and Doxxbet had requested those clubs to submit proposals. He added that Doxxbet had made the final selection from the list of submitted proposals. Gabor emphasized that the initiative was solely intended to support grassroots football and had no political motivations.

Beyond club sponsorships, Doxxbet has been a major supporter of Liberian football. The company has sponsored the LFA Awards for the past five years, beginning with a USD 24,000 sponsorship in 2019. Over time, its contributions grew to USD 100,000 over a three-year period. In 2023, Doxxbet reinforced its commitment with a new three-year sponsorship deal valued at USD 125,000, focusing on individual player awards.
