The National Lottery of Côte d’Ivoire (LONACI) has taken a significant step forward in its commitment to responsible gaming. During an official ceremony held at the Studio in Biétry, LONACI’s Director General and President of the African Lotteries Association (ALA), Mr. Dramane Coulibaly, received the WLA Responsible Gaming Level 2 Certificate from Mr. Hamdoune Dris, Permanent Secretary of the ALA.

This recognition confirms LONACI’s adherence to international standards for mitigating gambling-related risks and protecting players. It underscores the company’s dedication to fostering a safe and responsible gaming environment in line with the guidelines set by the World Lottery Association (WLA).

The event also marked the official launch of the certification process for WLA Responsible Gaming Level 3. This next step aims to further strengthen LONACI’s social responsibility and enhance transparency in its operations.

Several key industry figures attended the event, including Mr. Mohamed Abdul Salam, Director General of the Ghana Lottery (NLA), members of LONACI’s executive committee, and the President of the Concessionaires’ Mutual Association. Their presence highlighted the significance of this achievement for the lottery sector across Africa.

This certification is a testament to LONACI’s ongoing efforts to implement responsible management practices in both land-based and online gaming. It represents a crucial milestone in improving the company’s operational standards and reinforcing its commitment to strict industry regulations.

LONACI plays a vital role in Côte d’Ivoire’s gaming industry. As the national operator, it is responsible for organizing and regulating games of chance in the country. Beyond developing the sector, LONACI actively protects players through awareness initiatives and the enforcement of stringent social responsibility measures. Its financial contributions also support numerous public interest projects, further solidifying its positive impact on Ivorian society.
