On Thursday, September 12, 2024, Aboubakary Ouattara, Executive Director of the LONACI Foundation, officially handed over the keys to a newly constructed three-classroom nursery school, complete with four latrines, to the MEMEL FOTE public primary school in Dabou. The construction and equipping of the facility cost a total of 39,755,674 FCFA.

The ceremony was attended by notable figures including Christelle Kone Kinan, Secretary General of the Dabou Prefecture, who represented Prefect N’zi Kanga Remi. Also present were Guedé Sakoa, Deputy Executive Director of the LONACI Foundation, the Mayor of Dabou, and traditional chiefs.

This donation aligns with the social mission of the LONACI Foundation and supports the social program initiated by President Alassane Ouattara. The handover of the nursery school is part of the first phase of a social caravan organized by the LONACI Foundation in September 2024.

The caravan will commence from Abidjan on September 17 and will travel through various regions of the country to deliver additional educational facilities as students return to school. This initiative aims to enhance educational infrastructure and support communities across Côte d'Ivoire.

The LONACI Foundation, established by the National Lottery of Côte d'Ivoire (LONACI), focuses on social initiatives aimed at reducing poverty and improving community welfare through projects in health, education, and other vital sectors. Since its inception in 2019, the foundation has committed significant resources to building schools, health centers, and providing essential services to underserved populations across Côte d'Ivoire.
