Checkd Dev partners with 888Africa for Smart Acca launch in Angola and Zambia

Sports betting technology specialist Checkd Dev, part of the award-winning Checkd Group, has announced its entry into the African market with the launch of its innovative Smart Acca product in collaboration with 888Africa. This marks Checkd Dev's first foray into Africa, with the initial rollout set for Angola and Zambia, before expanding to other 888Africa websites throughout the 2024-25 football season.

The Smart Acca product will prominently feature on the homepages of the Betlion and 888bets brands, designed to enhance the betting experience for recreational players. Utilizing Checkd Dev’s advanced API, the tool allows users to create accumulator bets while offering appealing short odds opportunities. The product incorporates Opta data visualization, presenting key metrics such as team form in user-friendly graphics.

Combining a self-serve accumulator builder interface with a carousel of automated accumulator bets, Smart Acca simplifies the betting process. The pre-packaged bets can be added to the betslip with a single click, streamlining the user experience.

Andrew Grimshaw, Commercial Director at Checkd, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re delighted to expand on our established UK Tier 1 Operator client base by working with such an experienced team like 888 Africa. This collaboration is a rewarding step in Checkd Dev’s growth into emerging markets.”

As part of the initial rollout, the Smart Acca product for Angola has been translated into Portuguese, with plans for further localization in other betting territories.

888Africa's Trading Director, Ian Marmion, praised the collaboration, noting that Checkd's innovative product aligns with their brand values, emphasizing the importance of providing competitive odds and accessible betting opportunities for their growing recreational customer base.
