According to Coljuegos estimation, there are currently about 50 thousand slot machines in Colombia, installed without authorisation. The illegal market is estimated at 945 billion Colombian pesos. ($240 million). Illegal slot machines account for about a third of the total electronic gaming machine market in Colombia
According to the draft law, all establishments hosting slot machines will have to undergo mandatory certification. There will also be a limit of 80 slot machines per gaming hall.
