CBF renews partnership with Sportradar to boost integrity in Brazilian football

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has renewed its partnership with Sportradar Integrity & Regulatory Services, a division of Sportradar AG (NASDAQ: SRAD), to intensify efforts against match-fixing and uphold the integrity of football across Brazil. The extended collaboration will officially begin with the 2025 season.

Under the new agreement, Sportradar will continue to provide integrity monitoring for more than 8,200 men’s and women’s matches organized annually by the CBF. Its advanced Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) will now cover all national championships, marking a significant expansion of the initiative.

This renewal comes at a pivotal time for global sports integrity. According to Sportradar’s Integrity in Action 2024 Global Analysis & Trends, released in early 2025, the number of suspected manipulated matches worldwide dropped by 17% in 2024. Brazil saw even more encouraging results, with 53 fewer suspicious football matches reported compared to the previous year — a striking 48% decrease.

“Strengthening the integrity of Brazilian football is a priority for this administration,” said CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues. “The renewal of this partnership reinforces our commitment to that mission. The efforts of the CBF’s Integrity Unit, in collaboration with Sportradar and complemented by FIFA monitoring, will ensure that over 10,000 matches in Brazil are under scrutiny this season. It’s a symbolic and significant achievement that makes us proud.”

The long-standing collaboration between the CBF and Sportradar has played a critical role in curbing match manipulation and maintaining trust in Brazilian football.
