The Board of Directors of the Loterie Nationale Burkinabè (LONAB) held its second extraordinary session of the year on June 2–3 in Koudougou. Chaired by Léa ZAGRÉ/RIMTOUMDA, President of the Board, the session centered on key governance and performance-enhancing tools.
During the two-day meeting, board members conducted a thorough review of LONAB’s risk mapping and corresponding action plan. The agenda also included discussions on a proposed new organizational structure aimed at improving efficiency and oversight.
In addition, the board examined draft proposals for updated employee statutes and internal regulations, underscoring LONAB’s commitment to modernizing its governance framework and strengthening internal operations.
LONAB is the state-owned body responsible for organizing and regulating lotteries and sports betting activities in Burkina Faso. It plays a central role in generating public revenue and supporting national development through the redistribution of profits to social and economic projects.
