BSOP Summer 2026 opens new Brazilian poker season in Costa do Sauípe

The 2026 Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP) season gets underway this Friday, 23 January, with BSOP Summer at Costa do Sauípe in Bahia – a beachside festival that launches the new ranking race with more than 50 events on the schedule.

The 2026 season of the Brazilian Series of Poker officially kicks off this Friday (23) with BSOP Summer, the tour’s first stop of the year at Sauípe Resorts on the Costa do Sauípe coastline in Bahia. Running from 23 to 31 January 2026, the festival marks the opening leg of BSOP’s 19th season and the start of the annual points race for the Brazilian Poker Championship rankings.

Branded this year as BSOP Summer Millions, the stop transforms the all-inclusive resort into an exclusive poker venue for nine days, with more than 100 tables installed in the main ballroom and surrounding spaces. The official schedule features 53 tournaments, including six “Gold” events that award Grand Slam points, culminating in the R$5,000 Main Event and a high-stakes line-up of R$15,000 Grand High Roller, R$25,000 BSOP Championship, R$50,000 High Roller Championship and a R$100,000 Super High Roller.

Organisers say the coastal location and all-inclusive format are designed to attract both grinders and recreational players, with side activities that range from organised excursions along the Bahia coastline to an exclusive pre-Carnival party on 30 January featuring local band Timbalada on a trio elétrico. Guests staying at the resort and registered in the festival will have access to 24-hour event support, giveaways and dedicated transport logistics across the complex.

The BSOP Summer Millions also sets the tone for a busy 2026 calendar, which will take the tour on to São Paulo in March, Rio Quente in May, Winter Millions in July and the year-ending BSOP Millions in November. With Brazil’s live poker market coming off record fields in 2025, organisers are positioning the Costa do Sauípe opener as a flagship event that combines resort experience with one of the deepest tournament schedules ever offered at the start of a BSOP season.
