Brazil: VLT rules almost ready

On August 1, Loterj and Clube Do Bet met, during which Loterj President Hazenclever Lopes Cançado announced the imminent release of specific regulations for video lottery terminals (VLT) in Rio de Janeiro.

Clube Do Bet is looking to create innovative spaces to expand physical betting opportunities outside the capital, and is currently working on a project to create VLT stores and sports bars in the state of Rio de Janeiro.

Loterj management said the new regulatory model will make Rio de Janeiro a new benchmark for gambling, on par with Las Vegas.

Last week, Loterj also met with WA.Technology, an Italian technology group that offers cutting-edge solutions for the gaming industry, to collaborate on VLT controls and transparency.

Loterj is now waiting for the regulatory framework for VLT to be completed in order to finally open up new economic channels and test a modern, transparent and secure approach to gambling.
