Brazil records 650 sports betting site visits per second in 2025, says Aposta Legal
Brazil’s online sports betting market is experiencing explosive growth, with platforms recording over 5 billion visits in the first quarter of 2025 alone—an average of more than 650 clicks per second. The data comes from recent research by Aposta Legal, which highlights the rapid acceleration of user engagement in the sector.
To put the numbers into perspective: this level of traffic would be enough to fill Rio de Janeiro’s Maracanã stadium, which holds over 78,000 spectators, every two minutes—purely with clicks on betting sites.
According to Aposta Legal, this surge follows a relatively stable end to 2024, when betting sites saw 2.55 billion visits in the third quarter and 2.66 billion in the fourth. The turning point came with the official regulation of the betting industry at the beginning of 2025.
The new regulatory framework appears to have boosted public interest significantly, encouraging major operators to ramp up investments in advertising, partnerships, and broader visibility. As a result, the average number of visits to betting platforms jumped by 90%, signaling a dramatic shift in market dynamics.
The data confirms what many in the industry have anticipated: regulation has not only brought legal clarity but also fueled unprecedented momentum in Brazil's betting ecosystem.
