Botswana's Gambling Authority wins Best Responsible Gaming Program Award in Africa

Botswana's Gambling Authority clinched the prestigious "Best Responsible Gaming Program Award in Africa" at the Gaming Tech 2024 Summit held in Kenya. This notable achievement was announced via the official Facebook page of the Botswanian gambling regulator.

The esteemed award was presented to Mr. Emolemo Peter Kesitilwe, CEO, and Ms. Linnet Mafukidze, Manager of Regulatory Enforcement at the Gambling Authority. Their exemplary efforts in promoting responsible gaming practices have garnered recognition on a continental scale.

The summit, themed "Bridging Borders, Unifying Gaming & Tech in Africa," marked a historic milestone in Nairobi's Safari Park Hotel & Casino from June 4-5, 2024. It served as a platform for industry leaders to converge and explore innovative strategies for advancing the gaming sector across Africa.

As a government agency mandated to oversee gambling activities, the Gambling Authority plays a pivotal role in regulating and nurturing the growth of the gambling industry in Botswana. From evaluating license applications to enforcing regulatory standards, the Authority remains steadfast in its mission to uphold integrity and accountability within the sector.
