Botswana Gambling Authority engages with Ministry of Trade to enhance economic growth
On December 2, the Botswana Gambling Authority (G.A.), led by CEO Emolemo Peter Kesitilwe, hosted a dynamic meet-and-greet session with the Ministry of Trade and Entrepreneurship. Representing the ministry, Deputy Permanent Secretary Professor Goemeone E.J. Mogomotsi commended the G.A. for its significant contributions to Botswana’s economic development.
During the session, the G.A. highlighted its mandate to foster economic growth through sustainable job creation, value addition, and the promotion of responsible gambling practices. Professor Mogomotsi praised these initiatives as pivotal to advancing the nation’s prosperity.
The Botswana Gambling Authority plays a crucial role in regulating the gambling sector, ensuring compliance with the Gambling Act of 2012, licensing operators, and curbing illegal gambling activities.
