Botswana Gambling Authority seeks proposals for development of Gambling Levy Fund strategy
The Botswana Gambling Authority (BGA) has issued a Tender Notice exclusively for companies that are 100% citizen-owned. The tender seeks consultancy services for the development of the Gambling Levy Fund Strategy.
Tender Details:
- A non-refundable fee of P1,000 is required to purchase the tender document, while youth-owned companies can acquire it for P500.
- Payments must be made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the BGA's designated bank account.
- Interested parties should send an email with their company name, contact person's name, and telephone number to [email protected] to obtain the tender document.
The legal framework governing gambling in Botswana includes the Casino Act of 1971, the Lotteries and Betting Act, and the Gambling Act of 2012, which collectively regulate all gambling activities and establish the BGA as the overseeing authority. The BGA is tasked with licensing casinos, sports betting operators, and lotteries, ensuring compliance with national regulations while promoting responsible gambling practices.
