Belgium gaming revenue up 24% in 2022
At the end of 2022, Belgium's gross gambling revenue reached 1.46 billion euros. This follows from the report of the Belgian Gambling Commission, published recently. Compared to 2021, gambling revenue increased by 23.9%.
According to the contents of the document, the share of income from online gambling in total income from gambling was 54.87%, and from land-based gambling - 45.13%.
Revenues in the land-based sector for the year increased by 65.74% to 658.15 million euros, and in the online segment by 2.59% to 800.3 million euros.
€501.5 million in revenue came from nine casinos operating in Belgium, which was 30.01% higher than the previous record figure.
