Ban on slot machines outside casinos to come into force in Paraguay
In Paraguay from 27 January, a ban on the operation of slot machines outside casinos will come into force. The relevant decree was published by the National Gambling Commission (Conajzar).
According to the document, by 27 January, all slot machines placed outside the casino must be removed by their owners. Slot machines of violators will be confiscated and further destroyed.
Recall that the law prohibiting the installation of slot machines outside casinos was signed by Paraguayan President Santiago Peña at the end of 2023. The purpose of the law was to combat problem gambling among vulnerable groups, including minors.
