Argentina opens bidding for modernization of seven casinos in Buenos Aires province

The province of Buenos Aires in Argentina has officially launched a public tender for the modernization of seven casino properties. This move marks a new chapter in the province’s approach to gambling, which has traditionally been managed autonomously. The bidding process was initiated by Gonzalo Atanasof, president of the Provincial Institute of Lottery and Casinos, through the signing of a new resolution.

These seven casinos—located in Necochea, Miramar, Tandil, Sasso, Hermitage, Mar de Ajó, and Sierra de la Ventana—had previously been operating under extended concessions. The new initiative seeks to attract investors willing to upgrade the infrastructure and services of each property. According to Atanasof, the goal is to ensure job stability, improve working conditions, and enhance the overall competitiveness of the province’s casino industry.

Investments are expected to focus on refurbishing casino buildings, updating gaming floors, and improving slot machine offerings. The aim is also to transform these venues into attractive entertainment destinations that contribute to local tourism. Authorities believe that these upgrades will help capitalize on the economic and tourism potential of the region. The call for bids reflects a broader strategy to modernize public gaming operations across Buenos Aires.

By opening this tender, Buenos Aires is reinforcing its commitment to regulated, responsible gambling and boosting regional development through entertainment infrastructure.
