Another casino set to open in South Korea
Another casino will be opened in South Korea. Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort in Incheon will become the country's 18th gambling establishment. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a licence to the operator last Wednesday.
The casino will accept only foreign citizens.
Currently, there are 17 casinos in South Korea. 16 gambling establishments are open only to foreigners, and in the casino Kangwon Land also let in locals.
Eight of South Korea's casinos are on Jeju Island, three are located in Seoul, two each in Busan and Gangwon, and one each in Incheon and Daegu.
Operator Paradise Co Ltd operates four casinos in Seoul, Busan, Incheon and Jeju Island, while Grand Korea Leisure Co Ltd under the Seven Luck brand operates two casinos in Seoul and one in Busan. The remaining ten casinos are operated by different operators.
