Altenar algorithm takes live betting to the next level

African operators can now accept more live bets and improve the user experience thanks to a new bet acceptance logic from leading sportsbook provider Altenar.

A unique algorithm has been developed by the Altenar team which means in-play bets can be placed if there is no significant change to the odds while the player is compiling a bet. 

This new approach continues the company’s commitment to innovation and is a game changer when it comes to solving a long-standing issue.

The proprietary algorithm filters out the ‘noise’ of odds changes and allows the users to place bets on the prices they initially selected, even if the odds changed during a bet delay. As a result, almost all live bets are accepted given that there is no fundamental change in the events. 

The acceptance criteria are fully customisable, allowing operators to tailor the solution based on their strategy, and the new bet acceptance is proving to be one of the most robust solutions in the industry.

Live betting is becoming an increasingly popular form of betting and often appeals to a younger demographic of players, helping operators with player retention. It provides players with the opportunity to react to the action they are watching and maintain an interest, even if pre-live selections are unsuccessful.

This can increase revenue for operators but only if the user experience is an enjoyable one, and that is often not the case due to the constant change in odds resulting in bets being rejected.
