Alea Celebrates 5 Years as a Game Aggregation Leader
Alea, the award-winning iGaming aggregator, is proud to celebrate its 5th anniversary as a dedicated B2B company. In just five years, Alea has grown from a 12-person team into an industry-leading platform with over 80 employees, more than 16,000 games, and a global footprint that continues to expand across key markets.
Originally launched in 2012 as a B2C casino, Alea underwent a bold transformation in 2020, shifting its focus exclusively to game aggregation. This strategic pivot was spearheaded by co-founder Alexandre Tomic, who remained at the helm to lead Alea’s reinvention, alongside the former Head of Product from its B2C operations, Charlotte Lecomte.
“We came from B2C knowing every limitation and frustration operators face,” said Alexandre Tomic, Founder of Alea. “We started building solutions to our own problems and quickly realized we could do this for others. That’s how Alea Play was born. Today, we’re not just solving problems; we’re anticipating needs and offering solutions to issues operators didn’t even know they had. Our success over the last 5 years is a direct reflection of the care we place on our platform, our clients, and our team.”
Alea’s journey has been defined by consistent, measurable growth:
- From 2,000 games in 2020 to over 16,000 today
- From 10 game providers to more than 160 integrated partners
- From a small core team to a diverse organization of 90+ professionals across engineering, legal, sales, account management, marketing, compliance, game partnerships, and many more.
To accommodate this evolution, Alea recently expanded into a new office, separating its business and corporate operations from its engineering base to support its growing structure and maintain agility.
Over the past five years, Alea has taken bold steps into new markets. The company has established itself as a leading aggregator in Latin America, successfully navigating complex regulatory landscapes such as Brazil. At the same time, it continues to expand across emerging regions like Africa and strengthen its footprint in regulated markets, including Spain and Romania.
As Alea celebrates this anniversary, the company remains focused on advancing its technology, services, and partnerships, staying true to its mission of simplifying aggregation and empowering operators with clarity, speed, and performance.
