AffPapa launches new series: “Affiliates vs Operators”
This series creates a space for affiliates and operators to have honest, straightforward conversations. Moving past the usual industry noise, it aims to bring focus on what really matters—finding better approaches to partnership management.
Bridging the gap between affiliates and operators
Our new short-format series is built to bring the iGaming industry’s two power players face-to-face: one affiliate, one operator, and a host steering the conversation.
The purpose of this conversation series is to find smarter ways to work together through getting honest on issues and priorities that concern iGaming affiliates and operators. No panels or filters—just genuine dialogue to get both sides talking about what they truly value, what challenges they face, and how they operate, so everyone gains better insight into the industry.
Commenting on the launch, AffPapa’s Head of Marketing & series host Anahit Hovhannisyan said:
“Over the years at AffPapa, we’ve been right in the middle of the conversations between affiliates and operators. We launched the series to bridge the gap in bringing both sides closer and perhaps have them see things from a different angle.
Kudos to my first guests for kicking things off so well in the first episode. I hope our audience finds this insightful; a big part of the goal in starting the series and sharing it online was to give other affiliates and operators the chance to gain perspective, too!”
Kicking off the series are none other than Nikoleta Hristova, COO at Vegas Legends, and Filippo Anzalone, Head of Sales at Odds Scanner Group, sharing their thoughts on red flags, common misconceptions about each other, work-life balance, and more.
Filippo Anzalone shared his thoughts on the episode:
“The interview was a super fun and engaging experience, all about affiliates vs operators, with me representing the affiliate side. It wasn’t your typical Q&A, we had a real back-and-forth that made the whole conversation flow naturally. We touched on real challenges, shared some laughs, and kept things both insightful and entertaining.
Big credit to the host for keeping it dynamic and easygoing. All in all, a great chat and hopefully viewers find it just as enjoyable and useful!”
In the premiere episode, Nikoleta shares her unfiltered look at what operators really expect from affiliates, where things usually go wrong in the relationship, and why mutual trust and transparency are no longer optional, but essential.
Hristova says in the episode:
“There are no bad affiliates or bad operators – only bad communication and misaligned expectations. If we want real growth, we have to start talking like partners, not like silos.”
The first episode is out now—and we’re just getting started. Watch it, share it, and keep an eye out for the next one. We’ve got a lineup coming that’s worth tuning in for!
