Accra hosts Ghana Gaming and Lottery Awards 2024, celebrating industry leaders

The Ghana Gaming and Lottery Awards 2024 took place in Accra, celebrating excellence within the gaming and lottery sectors. Organized by Syndicated Entertainment Solution Limited in partnership with the Gaming Commission of Ghana and the National Lottery Authority (NLA), the event recognized outstanding contributions from various industry players.

Among the notable winners, Millionaires Casino Ghana Limited was awarded Gaming Operator of the Year, while Alpha Lotto Limited received the title of Private Lottery Operator of the Year. BetPawa (Choplife Gaming Limited) was honored with both the Responsible Gaming Initiative Award and the Innovation in Gaming Technology award, showcasing its commitment to promoting responsible practices and technological advancements. Additionally, Rand Lottery Co. Limited was recognized for its Responsible Lottery Initiative, and Wulucky Ghana Limited received the award for Innovation in Lottery Technology.

In customer service categories, Golden Dragon Casino Ghana Limited won Customer Service Excellence (Gaming), while Blue Star Hi-Tech secured Customer Service Excellence (Lottery). BetPawa's marketing efforts were also acknowledged with the Marketing Campaign of the Year (Gaming) award, alongside Alpha Lotto Limited's recognition for its marketing campaign in the lottery sector. Regulatory compliance was highlighted with Wingatebet Limited winning the Regulatory Compliance Award (Gaming) and Rand Lottery Co. Limited receiving the same honor for lottery operations. The prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award (Gaming) was presented to Mr. Peter Mireku, CEO of the Gaming Commission of Ghana.

The awards aimed to identify and encourage individuals and companies promoting responsible gaming and compliance with applicable laws, as emphasized by Mrs. Manuella Frempomaa Ansong, Director of Syndicated Entertainment Solution. She noted that recognizing industry players upholding the law is crucial for fostering innovation and promoting responsible gaming practices that can help generate revenue for the government.

Mr. Samuel Awuku, Director General of the NLA, expressed gratitude towards Syndicated Entertainment Solution for introducing this initiative, which he believes will help demystify misconceptions about gaming and lotteries while highlighting their importance to economic development.
