84% of Spain's adults gambled in 2022
29.5 million people in Spain gambled in 2022. This follows the results of the Games and Society survey conducted by the Spanish gaming trade association Consejo Empresarial del Juego (CEJUEGO).
As noted in the document, the proportion of Spaniards aged 18 to 75 who gambled in the past year was 83.9%.
25.7 million people took part in the Loteria de Navidad Christmas lottery, and 13.8 million people took part in the El Nino lottery, which takes place on January 6th. 3.4 million residents of the country participated in lottery draws conducted by the state operator ONCE. 9 million people bought ONCE instant lottery tickets. 23.3 million played the national lottery.
6.3 million people visited a casino, bingo hall or bookmaker, representing 17.3% of the adult population in Spain.
22.9% of respondents remember playing during 2022 one or more times a week.
