50 suspicious betting alerts reported by IBIA in Q3 2023
The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) reported 50 suspicious betting alerts in the third quarter of 2023. This is according to a new report from the organization.
The number of alerts was down 35 or 41% from the same period last year and unchanged from the second quarter of this year.
The suspicious betting alerts pertained to 8 sports and covered 21 countries. 30 of them came from Europe, 7 from South America, Asia accounted for 5 alerts, North America for 3 and Africa for 2.
The largest number of alerts came from the UK (11) and the Czech Republic (10).
The leader in the number of alerts was tennis (15), ahead of soccer (13) and table tennis (8). Seven alerts were for darts, three for cyber sports, two for bowls, and one each for basketball and dog racing.
