South Africa’s National and Limpopo Gambling Boards educate elders on responsible gambling
The National Gambling Board of South Africa and the Limpopo Gambling Board were greeted with great joy when they visited Ramogwerane Old Age Club in the rural outskirts of Groblersdal for educational awareness.
The National Gambling Board, responsible for overseeing the regulation of the gambling industry throughout the country, emphasized the importance of preserving the integrity of South Africa as a responsible global citizen. The Limpopo Gambling Board, which ensures compliance with legislation and promotes responsible gambling within the province, highlighted their mission to facilitate sustainable local economic development.
The lesson included illegal gambling in communities, gambling addictions, and free assistance to overcome addiction and be a responsible gambler. Our elderly citizens, even those who are not gamblers, often care for their grandchildren, many of whom participate in illegal underage gambling or have problems with online betting addiction. By teaching them about gambling laws, they are better equipped to monitor and advise their grandchildren. Those who do gamble were taught how to do so within their budget limits, safely and responsibly.
